Afternoon of... Volume 1

Reading...

'Blood Feud.' It's supposed to be a page turner but I feel as though I'd rather watch How I Met Your Mother and White Collar more than read about the rivalry between the Obamas and the Clintons.

Wearing...

Pajama pants and long sleeve t-shirt. It's a cozy day :)

Eating/Drinking...

A bottle of Pepsi... soda, my secret and rare vice :)

Listening...

The white noise that's right inside Agnes' bedroom door and the lovely scented candle on the counter in back of me. A light flickering and the sounds of rainfall in this quiet apartment while my daughter takes her daily nap; I'm going to miss these moments ;)

Agnes...

Nap time.

Wondering...

When the weather will get to be above 50 degrees again... I miss park days!
  

Praying...

For broken marriages. So many men and women are struggling just trying to keep their vows and it's taking a major toll on them and their other relationships they have with their family, friends, and children. So many prayers need to be said for those souls that are only trying to change for the better and do what's right in the most difficult of situations.

Thankful...

For my own marriage; I really can't thank God enough for all that he's provided for me (my husband, my children, my family, etc.). I'm just so blessed and I can't think of how life could be better.

Feeling...

Content. And warm (love this warm apartment!).

Working...

On making this living space more homey and even cleaner! I just hate cleaning the bathrooms!

In the Kitchen...

Working on a new recipe (for me, anyways) tonight. It's a chicken enchilada casserole that my sister and BIL made in Colorado last week. They had refried beans and rice to go along with it. It was sooooo good. I got the recipe and now, I'm hoping, it'll be for dinner tonight!

Oh, and a couple of nights ago, I tried making a new recipe with mac n' cheese in a crock pot and botched it really badly. I've never failed this miserably at making dinner. What did hubby do? He ate it and said it was fine :) Love that man.

Outside... 

FREEZING! So cold, and the sun is deceiving. 

Family...

My brother, Tim, comes in tonight to stay on his way to Tennessee. He is moving there and settling down with his soon to be wife, Kelly Ann (in April). As of now they have been in a long distance relationship and have never lived int he same state. Tomorrow they will live only 2 hrs away from each other. Exciting! Some of Paul's family is coming for a day visit on Sunday to give Agnes her Christmas presents. Agnes has been asking for "Mimi," "Arruh," and "Pops" for the past few weeks. She'll be happy to see them :)

Excited...

For the future and what it might hold for us as a family.
