About Me

Hello! I'm so glad you could stop by!

I am a Middle American Mommy. I was born in New York, but spent most of my childhood in the mountains of Colorado. I am the youngest of six children and aunt to 11. My dear husband (DH) and I have one child, Agnes (or A.J.) She is a force to be reckoned with but we can't imagine her any other way...
(unless, of course, it's during the consecration and she hits her head on a pew while we are near the front of the church and I have to book it back to the kid room while she's screaming in my arms.... then maybe we would imagine her kneeling beside us in contented prayerfulness as the priest holds up the Host and we all bow our heads like a perfect Catholic family).

And there's my segue into a pretty important part of our lives... okay the MOST important part. We are Catholic and would like to get to Heaven one day. :) So, there's that. If you have any questions or thoughts on Catholicism or just want to humble me, feel free to contact me. I'm always looking to increase my knowledge on the subject  and more importantly win arguments (heh heh... jk, but seriously).

My husband and I met our freshman year at an excellent Catholic university where I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies (and was certified in Elem. Ed.) and he in Business Leadership and has since gotten certifications in insurance stuff (and now you know how educated I am in the business world).

We dated for a while and then split up where we inevitably found ourselves racing back to the other's arms a year and a half later deathly scared of the dating world. I'm kidding; after a random text from him about how he always liked the freckles on my face, we fell in love a second time halfway through our senior year and decided that that was it (I'm a sucker for those romantic text messages). We were married July of 2012, moved to middle America, and almost a year later, our beautiful little A.J. came into our lives April 2013.

It's been quite a ride and this leads into why I started this blog. I'd love to remember the ups, downs, and sideways experiences of this crazy world with our crazy little family. It's hard work; sometimes it's fun. Honestly, I'm just a mommy living in middle America.
