That Feeling...

... when she wakes you up at 5 in morning fidgeting and making weird noises in her crib, and as you look over the bar to see her, she looks up and gives you the biggest smile and the loudest coo as if to say, "Oh, you're up too! Wonderful, let's eat some breakfast :)"

That feeling you get when, at times, she won't be happy with anyone else holding her except for you. You are the one she trusts most and you are her comfort.

The feeling that floods your heart when she refuses to go to sleep until you start running your fingers through her hair as she's lying there; then her eyes start to droop and she falls asleep within seconds.

That feeling you get whenever she starts to cry when you put her down and the moment you pick her back up again she stops.

That feeling you get the moment you realize that she is growing up too fast and that every single minute  you have with her matters.
